For parents and families, it is also a big moment. You want your daughter to feel celebrated, loved, and remembered, even if you cannot be there in person.

That is exactly why Smith’s Variety offers Samford Bid Day packages and sorority gifts available for pre-order.

What are Samford Bid Day packages?

Samford Bid Day packages are curated gift packages filled with sorority merchandise and new member favorites. Each package is designed to celebrate your student’s sorority placement and give her fun, useful, and memorable items for Bid Day and beyond.

Smith’s Variety offers four 2026 Samford Bid Day package options:

How does my student get her Bid Day package?

Smith’s Variety hand-delivers Bid Day packages to the Samford campus on Bid Day. Students are notified by text after bids have opened, and pickup details are provided.

Families do not need to tell us which sorority their student joins. Through our partnership with Samford Greek Life, we receive the necessary bid information and prepare packages accordingly while keeping placements confidential until Bid Day.

What if plans change?

Recruitment can be emotional, and plans sometimes change. If a student drops out or is not selected, Smith’s Variety offers full refunds or store credit for Samford swag and gear. We can also create a non-sorority replacement package for your student.

When should I pre-order?

Order early. The pre-order deadline is August 10 to ensure availability, and ordering early gives you the best selection. As Bid Day gets closer, inventory may become more limited.
